Biography
Anita Le Sech was raised on the island of Jersey. Growing up in the Channel Islands, Anita enjoyed the outdoors and free spirited character it has given her.
In 1990 Anita went travelling for couple years to South East Asia; visiting and living in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Antipodean Islands. Upon her return she moved to London for a number of years. Currently she is based between London and Jersey.
Anita has always been interested in Contemporary Abstract art, with one of her strongest influences being Jackson Pollock.
Anita’s preference is large canvases, usually 5ft by 4ft as she loves their large presence. She has also worked on smaller canvases. She uses all types of paints from oils, acrylics to emulsion. Anita loves texture and colour on her paintings and to achieve this, she uses cement, polyfila and other adhesives to create this affect. For added affect she also uses wood, stones and wax. Her paintings have been described as rather simple with an edge to being complicated colourful and mesmerising therefore catering for all different tastes.
